The robust engagement witnessed in the days of Lai Mohammed as National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, is set to be re-enacted as the party on Thursday settled for former Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi as its new spokesman. This assertion is hinged on the promise made by Abdullahi.
He was elected unopposed at a mini convention at Chelsea Hotel in Abuja as Timi Frank, former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, was prevented from stepping into Mohammed’s shoes.
Others elected were Mohammed Zakari, Deputy National Treasurer, and Abdul Ibrahim, Zonal Organising Secretary.
Abdullahi who expressed gratitude to the party for electing him and other new officials, vows to work towards strengthening the party.
“I want to assure you that we shall do all in our capacity to continue to strengthen the party. We know that if we continue to engage the people of Nigeria in all humility, they will continue to stand with us even in the midst of this difficult time,” he said.
