I am still Minority Leader of Rivers House of Assembly, insists Anabraba

The crisis rocking the Rivers All Progressives Congress over an alleged anti-party activitie by the Minority Leader in the State House of Assembly, Benebo Anabraba remains unresolved.

This follows the stance by Anabraba that he remained in the position, insisting that his expulsion by his party, the APC, has not displaced him.

The lawmaker, who expressed surprise with the decision of his party, said he was still a member of the APC, adding that he did not snub invitations by his party as alleged.

The leadership of the APC in Rivers had on Monday announced Anabraba’s expulsion from the party over allegations of anti-party activities.

Chairman of the APC in the state, Davies Ikanya, had in a signed letter released to the media, accused the lawmaker of anti-party activities and disobedience to the party.

Trouble started for Anabraba when he contested and won the Minority leadership seat of his party in the House of Assembly. He is widely seen as having sympathy for the Peoples Democratic Party while still claiming to be a member of the APC.
