Pat Utomi, political economist, has denied any link and disowned a secessionist group, Biafra Zionist Federation, which recently listed him and some prominent Nigerians as Ministers of the proposed Biafra Republic.
Utomi told journalists in Lagos that he decided not to pay attention to the group because he did not want to attach any relevance to their activities.
“I have never heard of those people before. I have never met them. Nnamdi Kanu was created by people who arrested him and we’re still making the same mistake all over again.
“When you people in the media give credence to those kinds of people and begin to discuss them, they get taken seriously. I think the best thing to do is to ignore those kinds of things.”
Utomi was listed as the Foreign Minister of the group.
Reports filtering out to media, indicates that Utomi and others on the list, may have been placed under watch by the Department of State Security(DSS), following their silence days after being named on the list.
