EndBadGovernance: Don't go on Protest, give me time, Tinubu begs

In what appears a panic reaction, President Bola Tinubu is begging Nigerians to shelve a planned Protest slated for next August.

Information Minister Mohammed Idris, who briefed State House Correspondents at the end of a Meeting with the President on Tuesday, said Tinubu urged the Organisers of the Protest, tagged ‘EndBadGovernance’  to drop the plan and await the President’s response to their complaints.

“The issue of the planned Protest, Mr President does not see any need for that. He’s asked them to shelve that plan. He’s asked them to await the Government’s response to all their pleas,” the Minister said.

The Protest called against the backdrop of Economic hardship, which is gaining popularity on Social media, has been slated to hold in August across the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The Organisers of the Protest have remained faceless amidst astronomical jump in prices of basic necessities especially food.

The Rate of Inflation continues to rise even as the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Nigeria Police Force and the House of Representatives have warned against the Protest.

The Organised Labour in its consistent demand for a new Minimum Wage, agreed recently with the Federal Government, had also called for taming of the rising Inflation in the Country.

A Media Aide to President Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga last weekend, warned against the planned Protest while accusing Peter Obi of the Labour Party of being the Mastermind.
