Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru in a Meeting with Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition Delegation from Saudi ArabiaThe Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has reiterated Federal Government’s commitment to combating Terrorism in West Africa and the Continent in general.
He said this in Abuja when he received a Delegation from the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by Mohammed Al-Moghidi in his Office.
Badaru said the Federal Government hoped to achieve this by supporting the Coalition.
He explained that “by supporting the IMCTC, Nigeria reaffirms its dedication to Regional and Global Security, underscoring the importance of Collective Action in combating Terrorism.
“When we are talking about Counter Terrorism today, we have to critically look at West Africa and Africa in general. It is bleeding.
“I believe these Countries in this Region need lots of support and whatever action you are doing, we will support.
“We are ready and willing to work with you to achieve the set objectives.”
Earlier, the Leader of the Delegation told the Minister that Nigeria and Saudi Arabia already had existing Bilateral Relations.
He added that the purpose of the Visit was to strengthen the Synergy by way of Intelligence Sharing and Training.
