Nentawe Yilwatda, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, has been elected as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
His emergence was formally announced on Thursday during the National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting of the APC at the State House, Abuja.
Yilwatda, who was adopted as a “Consensus Decision” by the NEC, succeeds Abdullahi Ganduje who officially stepped down as Chairman on June 27.
The Meeting had in attendance President Bola Tinubu, Members of the Progressives Governors Forum and top Party Officials
Born August 8,1968, Yilwatda, who is from Plateau, is an Engineer and Academic.
He was the Candidate for the APC in the 2023 Governorship Elections in Plateau.
Between July 2017 – December 2021, he held the Position of Resident Electoral Commissioner in Benue State.
Also, he was the ICT Director at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, for 12 years.
